08.31.2023 - Construction Update

We hope everyone had an amazing time at the "Back to Depot" Block Party! If you missed it or just want to relive the moments, click here and be directed to The Town of Greeneville's Facebook Page where they posted a beautiful photo album of the event. There were clearly some great memories made and The Town did a fantastic job of capturing them in the photos.

Work zones have not changed but our crews have progressed work significantly. Depot Street between Irish Street and Main Street will open for local traffic only. Please use caution when turning around in the block and at all times while accessing this area. We want to support the local businesses in this area, so access will remain as is, but there is still active construction going on is this area and safety is of the utmost importance.

Depot Street between Irish Street and Main Street: Is open to local traffic. This block is mostly complete but will remain as is until the intersection at Main Street is complete. Please use caution moving within this block.

Depot Street between Main Street and College Street: This block remains closed as our crews pour concrete for the sidewalks, curb, and gutter. It is our intention to continue working from the bottom of the hill, near College Street, up to the intersection at Main Street. Check out the progress that his been made in this area:

Intersection of College Street at Depot Street/Academy Street: This intersection is well on it's way to being reopened in the coming weeks. Please utilize Main Street as a detour. Parking lots on Academy Street will be accessible from Church Street and the businesses between Main Street and College Street on Depot Street will be accessible from Main Street.
